Meet Annie

Annie Jacobsen is a glass artist based in Asheville, North Carolina, and the founder of Her Glassworks—a woman-owned and operated business rooted in sustainability and creative community. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, she studied glass at Virginia Commonwealth University and has worked full-time in glass since 2019. Annie launched Her Glassworks in 2021 to collaborate with and support other women in the field. She creates her work at the Jackson County Green Energy Park, where the glass furnace is powered by landfill gas—reflecting her deep commitment to environmentally conscious craft.
